Life
Well,it has been awhile since I edited my profile. Have things changed? Certainly..but life is still good. I retired from Modesto Police department as a Robbery/Homicide Detective in 2004. Still hung around awhile as a part time employee trying to solve "Cold Cases", came close but no cigar. However I provided more info on the cases for the retiree taking my place.
I moved to a little town in southern Arizona called Sahuarita, about 15 miles south of Tucson. We bought a house in 2004, now just got to sell our house in Modesto in a couple of years. My wife is still working in Modesto Ca, she has about a year before she retires. My kids are here and there...A daughter just joined the Air Force and she is stationed just down the road in Tucson, a son is working for Halliburton in Baghdad, another daughter and her husband just moved out here from New Jersey, he is a teacher, and another son is looking for a job in Tucson. How often can you play golf...I know for some "EVERY DAY." But I went back to work. I work for the University of Arizona in Tucson. A low level very, very, unstressful type of job. I was gonna work there till my wife retired. Well I was talking to the Chief one afternoon, and I am now testing to become a full time copper at the University. I just have to pass the same Physical Agility test that the 21 year old applicant has to pass. Am I nuts or what? I am in the training process to take the test. If I pass then I will have to pass the written test for the state of Arizona. Same criteria as for a Californai cop...but no academy. Oh well, been out of a cruiser for 20 + years and maybe going to climb right back into one.
Hope everyone is as satisfied as I am with my life. Great family, wonderful wife and living in the great state of Arizona. Have not switched alligances to the Arizona teams, still a Sox/Bears and IU fan. Though I am becoming more of a Wildcat basketball fan. Hope to hear from some of my "old" friends......
