Denise Clark:  

I was in the last class of Allied Gardens kids to attend Hoover. The class after mine went to Patrick Henry. After graduating, I spent nine years in kind of a rotating plan...go to college, stop going to college, get a job, earn money, and go to Europe, come home, and go to a different college. I attended the following colleges in the San Diego area: Cal Western/USIU (on Point Loma, now Point Loma Nazarene), Mesa College, San Diego City College, San Diego State, and finally UCSD, where I graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Visual and Fine Art. After that I went to work for the San Diego Unified School District as a Special Ed Asst. for Emotionally Disturbed. I was greatly blessed to work with Rebel Williams and Joe Hernandez.
