Denise's Story
Since graduating from Lutheran High School of San Diego in 1985,I met my husband Dean in 1986 at a News Eve Party,Dean was in the Navy when we met on June 20th 1987 we got married..We have two wonderful children our son Kenny and Our Daughter Heather.
I've also had two careers one that I started when I was 12 years old and when I was in my senior year in high school,I decided to take a Child Care class, after I finished the class I decided to continue working with children.I went back to school and got my degree in Child Care Management and I have been working as a child care provider for many years.
In May 2008 I was in a very bad fall while volunteering and while I was recovering I was told because of the injuries I could no longer work with children. So I decided with my family that I would go back to school so I took an on line college class.
Since I was no longer working with children with my families encouragement I looked into working with Children in a new way.I took a college class on Writing Children's books.
I graduated in December 2011..My very first children's Book Series is called The Adventures Of Four Paws and A Tail. It was published a year ago....Expand for more
I Have always loved writing, when I was a little girl my grandparents took me every Sunday after church to see my Great Grandmother Helene who lived in a Retirement Home. I would sit in on her lap and tell her stories. She encouraged me to use my imagination and to always follow my dreams.
Great Grandma Helene passed away at the wonderful age of 102 in January 1978.
My Grandmother Ida also encouraged me to always do my very best with what I do in my life she always said that I should never doing what my heart says.Because of Grandma Ida's word I put my heart into my writing she told me growing up to never give up on my dreams they will come true when you least expect them to.
My Grandma Ida passed away April,2004 at the wonderful age of 93.
Our family moved to Murrieta,Ca in 1996 and we moved to Temecula,Ca in 2001,We moved back to Murrieta,Ca 2015 it is wonderful to be back in the area.
