Denise Urbanowski:  

Life I live in San Clemente, CA. with my husband of almost 34 yrs, John Urbanowski,class of 1967. We have two grown children; a daughter Kristen, 32, who is married and has three children, Alexandria 10, Spencer 5, and Addison 1. and a son, Devin, who is 29 yrs old and unmarried. They both live in San Clemente near us. I flew as a flight attendant for 31 years for both Western and Delta Airlines.I took an early retirement in 2003 after suffering a bad back injury. My husband, John, was a police lieutenant and retired after 24 yrs on the force in 1994. He later became a mortgage broker, and still is. Halfway through 1994 I began college, while continuing to fly fulltime. I first attended Saddleback Community College, and received my AA degree in General Studies. I then went on to finish my B.A. in Ethnic Studies, with an Afro-Ethnic emphasis from California State University Fullerton. College was an extremely enlightening and rewarding experience. Between 2000 and 2004, I sang in a group called the "Afro-Ethnic Community Ensemble" as a tenor. We sang Spirituals, Gospels, Blues, Jazz and R&B.
