Dennis's Story
Life
I moved here to Northern California a year after I graduated from high school. I was having problems with my right foot and after seeing a Doctor, he suggested shortening my left leg to composite with my right leg. That way I could eliminate the 2-1/4 inch lift that I had on my right shoe. You may remember it.
I majored in design drafting in college and went on to a long career with AT&T as an Architectural Draftsman as a space planner. In October of 1991 I retired.
Back in 1976 I married at age 33 and 10 years later we were divorced, no children (our choice). I was single for another 10 years until I married a very wonderful women I knew at AT&T. We flew to Maui in 1996 and got married. Six months later we were back on a plane headed for the UK. invited. After the wedding we took advantage of the trip and spent a day in Paris and toured the northern tip of England for a week. In September, Terry, my wife and I were scheduled to take a Mediterranean Cruise around Italy. Unfortunitly we had to cancel the trip. If we had gone on the cruise we would have been scheduled to fly back to San Francisco on Sept 12th.
We would have been in Barcalona Spain on Sept. 11th and unable to fly back home for several more days.
Like I said, Terry and I meet while working at AT&T, but she quite AT&T and went to work for Hewlett Packard, where she is presently working. Terry just graduated from the University of San Francisco and received her Bachelors Degree this past December.
