Dennis's Story
Life
I am a geologist working for a multinational oil company. I have been with the company for 33 years. My last few years I have been working oil fields in Kuwait and Kazakhstan. I have picked up my previous training as a high school earth science teacher and have been teaching earth modeling classes to engineers and other geologists. I have been married over 45 years. The loves of my life are my daughters whom have both graduated from college while we have been living in Texas. My daughters have gone to school in 4 different states as we have moved about the US. they have graduated form University of Texas and Texas A&M. We are heavily involved in our church and have just completed building our 15th Habitat for Humanity home in Richmond, Texas. I play basketball, and run 3 mi...Expand for more

In the last 20 years I have spent a great deal of time writing articles for technical journals and making technical presentations in Bahrain, Kuwait,, Athens Greece, and many places around the US. Valerie and I spend most of our vacation time going to places where we can hike like Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona., Utah, Israel, Jordan Our favorite places are Big Bend National Park and a cabin in the Sacramento Mountains near Ruidoso, NM. I am looking forward to living life to the fullest and giving back as much as I can and enjoying my 3 grandchildren.
Retired from Chevron and Texaco in 2015 after 33 years where I achieved the status of consulting geologist for the corporation. In November 2018 spend 3 weeks on a National Geographic Tour of SE Asia.
