Life
'69-71 USMC (viet Nam). Two children, Holly(45) & Melissa(42); 4 granddaughters. '72-76 Kent State Architecture School. '76-84 Family business. '84-90 BA & MA Theology. Spent 13 years as Lutheran pastor in Perrysburg, OH. Served as chaplain at Cherry Street Mission, a shelter for homeless men in downtown Toledo, 2003-2006. Divorced in 2006. Moved to Boone, NC, December 2006, managed the Hospitality House for homeless families until June 2008. I lived in the western mountains of North Carolina serving the NC Dept of Corrections as the Chaplain of a state prison in Spruce Pine, NC with 900 inmates and 300 staff. Married the talented and beautiful PAMELA BAXTER (North Myrtle Beach, SC) in May 2014, a former marketing director for an assisted-living adult in-home care com...Expand for more
pany. Retired in August 2016 and we spent one year traveling the East/South in our RV. In February 2020 bought a condo in Myrtle Beach and worked for the Horry County sheriff counseling inmates at the county jail. After contracting (and surviving) COVID in July 2020 I finally retired for good September 2020. I got paid to do what I love doing and enjoy life to the max. In the words of Mel Brooks, "It's good to be king!" Pamela's health has been real bad the last seven years so we remain mostly home-bound but still hit the road every couple months in the RV. The fall of 2022 we have an Amtrak train trip planned to Seattle and back. Before I die I hope to see a semi-pro baseball game in as many minor league parks in America as possible.
