Dennis's Story
Well, in response to a few friends that have asked me to tell "my story" I will oblige. All I can say is that you must need something to read to put yourself to sleep at night.
After high school, went to college. Was pretty sure that I had found my calling in life. Being a college student. Unfortunately, they made me graduate years later and had to seek employment. Such are the disappointments in life. Got married, had two boys and was on my way to having the statistical requirement of 2.5 children, two cars, a pet and a 3 bedroom house with a white picket fence. Wasn't sure how you get just half a kid but was willing to try. But by living the American dream I also fell into that statistical category of being divorced. Such are the disappointments in life. Remarried a few years later and managed to pick up another boy and girl, and additional pets. Still no half child. And my house has a chain linked fence rather than a white picket fence. More disappointments but have learned to cope without the white fence and half child.
For those of you that really know me, my wife is known as Saint Carolyn by the way. Rumor has...Expand for more
it that she married me just to buy her way into heaven. Something about a penance. Could be some truth there. Although I am happily married, at least that's what she tells me I am.
The good thing is that I have not entered a second childhood as I have grown older. By all accounts I have refused to grow up. But I have grown out very nicely. Many "old" friends have stated that I haven't changed. Now that could be a compliment or an insult, depending on ones perspective. Of course those same people might be referring to the pictures of me I have posted on this site. Hmmmmm.
I have enjoyed this site as I have been able to find old friends and make a few new ones. Unfortunetly some old friends are not around (still miss you Roger).
So to the chagrin (had to throw that word in to show I do have a college education) of a few, I am still alive and kicking. Hopefully those of you that know me will at least get a smile from reading this. My true goal in life was to be a clown, and at this point I do have the big shoes, bald head and I am working on the red nose and face paint. Hopefully the small clown car can come later.
