Dennis's Story
Life
Where to start, thirty-three years is a lengthy period of time. It took me some time to find myself and figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Social Work in '97. I got married in '96 and divorced in 2005. Form this union came a wonderful son. His name is Joseph SunDance Tyrrell and he will start seventh grade this fall. I posted several photos of him on the ReOnion page. He is truly a blessing. I love being a dad. I gave up better living through chemicals on May 2nd of 1985 and have stayed clean and sober since that day. We moved to NE Montana in '01 where I worked as a social worker for the state at Child and Family Services. I primarily investigated allegations of child abuse and neglect. This occupation took a serious hit on my personal life and physical health. Two trips to the hospital in Billings to the cardiac unit left me with some extra hardware in three of my coronary arteries. Much later and it would have been bypass surgery. stress occupation. My son lives with me on an every other month visitation schedule. We live between Wolf Point and Poplar, Montana in a little house on the prarie. The relationship my son and I share is very important to me. I hope that I am around to see him grow into adulthood. He is a wonderful, smart and talanted young man. In 2005, my wife left me, my horse died, and the wheel fell off my pickup truck. Maybe I should write a country song. This is all true. My horse was struck by lightening. A real bummer. I am looking for a new pony. My other black Ford pony has four wheels. I have a cat ranch and am currently running a heard of about 12. Presently, I am working as a Nephrology Social Worker for the Fort Peck Tribal Dialysis Unit in Poplar, MT. I enjoy the work and meeting new people. Not really sure what the future holds. I had a great time seeing everyone who attended the 30th ReOnion. Hope to make it to the next one. Until then....live, love, and learn, we are never too old to learn new tricks. I may be able to roll over and fetch soon if I keep working at it:-)
