Life I was successful in reaching my dream. I was an Air Force fighter pilot and officer for 21 years! After living in 5 states and 2 foreign countries, and having long temporary assignments in 4 more states and 3 more countries,(total duty in 33 states and 16 countries) I retired in 1998. I have lived in the same house for 13 years--a record since I left home in 1972. After the USAF I followed my dad's (who many of you knew at either Battell, Main, or Young) footsteps and taught for nine years. I taught high school History and Geography at a local Catholic high school. I was also an assistant basketball coach, and the Quiz Bowl coach--I was lucky enough to coach smart kids in Quiz Bowl, as we were very good. We won six consecutive Regional Championships, 2-time Division III State Runner Up, 2-time Division III State Champions, and one-time Overall Louisiana State Quiz Bowl Champions.
