Dennis's Story

Hey: Well , it's July , 2013 & time is moving so quickly , I can't keep track of it. Our youngest daughter is back from her year in the Philipines & is now working for us as our business manager & on Drive/Tru first thing in the morning. Our oldest daughter is on the East Coast right now at a wedding & our second eldest daughter just had her 40th birthday party. We had a big family party here at our house for her 40th & my dad's 87th. Everyone had a blast!! Our restaurant is supposed to be ronovated this July but they postponed it to at least September & are charging me an arm & a leg for the renos. We had to cancel an East Coast trip because we were supposed to be doing this in July so now we are taking a short bike trip to Osoyoos , BC & then down to Idaho & back to South Dakota & then home , about 3 weeks. is not easy to manage a restaurant or people. Our 6 grand-children are growing so fast , with our oldest being 17 years old. Just finished ripping out our bathroom at home down to the studs & joists & re-doing it with a jacuzzi tub for Joanne. Bought a new 2012 Harley-Davidson Ford F150 in November. Absolutely love it. & we just bought a 27 1/2 foot C Class Motorhome which we will try out next weekend. Looking forward to that lots. And the big item is that I am on a major effort to drop some weight by changing my eating habits & no snacking which i did lots of. Dropped 30 lbs so far !!! I am finding it about the same as I did when I quit smoking , unless my whole mind & heart are in it , there is no sense trying. And my whole mind & heart are into it this time around. So , let's see where I end up !!! Life is good , although frantic at times but I wouldn't trade it for anything !!!!
