Dennise's Story
After I graduated I took care of my mother until she passed away in 1975. Then I had to raise along with my father my sister. We moved to Arizona in January of 1980. She is ten years younger than me. So until 1982 at the end of May she graduated from High School. Then we started to College together at Scottsdale Community College. We then transfered to Grand Canyon College before it became a University. After that Gayle first went to Glendale Community College then I started at the school. We both Graduated in 1991. Gayle with a degree in Secretary Science and mine in Business Middle Management. Then after that I went back to school at Ottawa University. I granduated with a Degree in Human Resources. That is where I met my Husband Jeff Rogers.
We have driven a school bus all over Arizona transporting students. My favorite thing to do is take students on trips. I have been on days trips ...Expand for more
but my over night trips with the bands and choir are the best.
I have also been a truck driver with my husband. If you think being at home is hard try driving and living in a truck. All of your creature favorites are at your finger tips. But in a truck it is very cramped and very little can be taken. Most of the time all you do is eat, sleep and drive. Every once and a while you get to go shopping. Never any time to just stop and smell the daisies. I have been in almost all of the states except South Dakota, Alaska, Hawaii. But I have been in Canada. Just to think about the weather that we have to drive in. Snow and ice are funny things to deal with. Some of the mountains can be hard to drive. We mostly think of Colorado but I am talking about West Virigina. We drive mostly only vans that is where drys goods are put in the back of our truck and we deliver them to different companies.
