Deon's Story
Life
What can I say? Well, I graduated from FAMU in 2000, and for the past four years I have been procrastinating. It wasn't until 2003, when I met my future wife, that I decided to get the ball rolling again. We got married in April 2004, had a beautiful baby girl in July 2004, and we are still together. I am currently an assistant manager for a delicatessian at a local Publix, and pretty soon, we will move to greener pastures as my wife will finish up her master's in the summer of 2005. She got a very good offer to work for a prestigeous labor organization. Since 2005, my wife and I got a home and a dog. All we need is 1.5 more children, and we're set for life! I now work for an outsourcing company whose job is to hire people to work on projects for Fortune 500 companies. I act as a call center manager. Yeah, big whoop! Wanna fight about it? But my wife is the bread winner for being Senior Accountant. but our daughter runs the house!

Englewood was weir...Expand for more
d, but a lot of fun. Who could forget the catch phrase, "All boys at Englewood carry guns." That got me out of a lot of situations when I was over on the Northside! :) High school was great! If I could go back with the friends I had, I would. Who could forget having study hall for first and last periods. Not to mention the crush I had on a particular girl. (those who knew me back then know who I am talking about.) But, I got over the crush and moved on. But I will never forget my friends in all those honors classes! And those woodshop classes too! And those gym classes!! I'm not too fond of that home economic class. And I will never forget that 10th grade Honors Chemistry class with Mrs. Bowden! Good times to be had by all.
I always wanted to be a football player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fool idea. As it turns out, they were right.
I try to work out. When I don't feel like doing that, I just lounge around and watch Family Guy.
