Derek's Story
Life
I have been a professional computer programmer for the past eleven years.
I am also a drug researcher, computer game designer and an armchair political activist.
School
I attended Cardinal Newman for grade nine, then switched to Malvern for grades 10 through 12. After leaving Malvern, I attended a couple different 'alternative' schools (SEED and AISP), and eventually just went to Seneca College for a couple years.

My first full time job was for ComputerLink Online, a multi-line MajorBBS system, where I proceeded to turn them into an ISP (Internet Service Provider) called Internet Direct. After working there for about three years, I went to work for Python Communications (aka PythonVideo aka Global Media).
In 1999 I left Python and went to work at BlueGenesis, which became Hostopia, Inc. where we offer wholesale rebranded webhosting services.
