Derrik's Story
After high school I went into the Air Force. Got out in 1983. Went the fall semester to BYU. In 1984 went on a LDS church mission to Quito, Ecuador. After returning, I finished my BA at BYU in English Literature.
Worked at various jobs while living in Utah until I got on with Los Angeles Unified School District where I started off teaching ES...Expand for more
L. I taught for two years and decided to move on. In 1992 I started working for Southwest Airlines and am still employed with the company today.
I got married in Feb 1986 to a girl I met in Ecuador. Also, in 1988, I reentered the military, in the Army Reserve, and I retired March of 2006.
Currently, I live in the Denver suburb of Commerce City.
