Desiree's Story
For some reason when Classmatesm, reformated all my information that I had here disappeared. So here is my life in a nutshell once again for anyone curious or wanting to know whatever happened to me. I got married in Feb of 1992 (yep that soon after we graduated). My husband Kirk and I just celebrated 16 years of marriage. After 10 1/2 yrs of marriage and trying to concieve a baby (in 98 found out I have a disease called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) God blessed us with our miracle: Edward (born May 2003...named after my husbands grandfather on his mothers side). I have lived in Arizona (93-95), Minnesota (95), Oklahoma (95-06) and now Kansas ( 96 to the present day). In Nov of 2004, I almost became a widow when my husband became pinned between a semi truck and a trailer at work. God watched over him, protected him and kept him safe so he could be around to enjoy watching our son grow up. The accident did cost my husband his left arm and broke his back but if it weren't for God's protection it could have been a totally different scenario. ans. We attend a Calvary Chapel Church (non-denominational). We homeschool our son, he will be starting Kindgergarten in the fall. This has been a great joy for our family and we enjoy it. We would love more children but that is up to God's will and timing for our family. We have 3 dogs and 2 gerbils. I return to Washington state every 1 1/2 to 2 years to see my family and my husbands family who still live up there.
My Work History:
My current Job is Stay At Home Mom. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Prior to being a Stay At Home Mom, I worked for 5 yrs (for 2 different families) as a live-out Nanny. I loved those jobs, they were truly rewarding and I would return to them in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the new job that I have and love, being a full time mommy. Prior to being a Nanny, I worked in a daycare for a 2 yrs, I was a lead teach for school age children and then for 2 year olds. I loved both but prefered the 2 year olds over all...that is minus changing 24 diapers 3 or more times a day, and potty training. I have pretty much worked with children since 95.
