Diana's Story
Life
Hey everybody! Hope all is going well with you. Things are great here. We plan to be back on the Central Coast...sometime... I've accepted that it'll happen when it's meant to happen. ;) Married the love of my life, Michael, on April 10, 1999 at the SLO Mission. Ben Alexander, our son, was born on October 20, 2002, and we have a new addition, Lilly Kulani, who was born on April 20th, 2007. :-D I'm taking a break from my MA and Credentials programs for now to be a full-time mom. Volunteering at school, kid-related activities, traveling, and everyday life keep us busy! Still visit the SLO area about once a month and always love to be in touch with old friends.
School
My biggest crush did NOT go to MBHS.
Mr. Sando was/is an inspiration, and I'm happy to call him and his wife my friends.
If I could do it over again, I wouldn't!
If I had to do it over again, I would have smiled more; not let other people get to me; been more open with people I should have; and chosen to be friends with kind, honest, supportive people. I wouldn't have gotten so hung up on guys and would have enjoyed being a single teen more. And I would have enjoyed where and when I was in my life - I wouldn't have rushed so much to grow up. I would ha...Expand for more
ve enjoyed my time, just being who I was.
Funniest, happiest, craziest? Probably involved alcohol... I'll have to think about this and get back to it later.
College
I had many "unique" roommates - where would I start?
Didn't eat in the cafeteria much. The Pub, on campus, was more my hangout...at least freshman year.
Caffeine-fueled all-nighters? Crack-of-Dawn club, every Wednesday! I'd stay up all night, go to my morning class, then go to bed.
Wish I'd enjoyed college more....I wanted to be an adult - out in the "Real World" too much. I loved working more than learning and being in class. I allowed my heart to control my head. I would have trusted my instincts and left relationships before they got toxic. I would have chosen more quality men to date.
Oh well - I'm loving life nowadays! :)
Workplace
Had many, many, many jobs in college. Childcare, radio station, nursery, retail, real estate, Suicide/Depression prevention, crisis hotline volunteer/supervisor..... After college - more real estate, more Suicide Prevention, more crisis hotline supervising, 2 non-profits working with the Deaf, as a Teacher's Assistant in a deaf/hearing classroom, substitute teacher....now I'm a mom! And mommyhood is the best job ever! ;)
