Diana's Story
Work too much, play too little, need about six more days in every weekend.
Life in VA is way too hectic. I'm trying to get my company to transfer us to Colorado or Montana or somewhere with less traffic. I'm sure I'm stuck here though. Great. Sitting on I-95 for three hours with 30,000 people is my absolute favorite way to spend a Friday afternoon. Ask me about the Beltway Whaler... people get REALLY bored sitting in traffic here. Scary bored.
The kids are growing up too fast, I have a freshman who's taller than I am and a 7th grader who still thinks mom is ok, but God knows how long that'll last. Time has gone by so fast, it's unreal. Life is pretty good, if I take a step back from the every day stress and hustle and look at the big picture. I've got two awesome kids, a great job that I need to quit complaining about and a nice roof over my head. (and a fast car that's going to get me into a lot of trouble at some point when I'm weaving inbetween traffic on I-95) My biggest problem right now is that I upgraded my cell phone to a crackberr...Expand for more
y and it's apparently smarter than I am. I think I could decipher the dead sea scrolls before I'd figure out how to get this damn thing to even ring. Technology blows. And yes, I even asked the freshman electronics wizard to figure it out and program my contacts, but he failed. I need an engineer... or a big hammer.
My interests lately have been few. As I said, I work too much. I seem to spend an exhorbitant amount of time vacuuming (free cats, anyone?)... does housework count as a hobby? Actually, I'm getting involved in the local CSA programs (Community Supported Agriculture) down here and we're becoming regulars at the farmer's markets. Other than that, I'm just living.
I'd love to hear from anyone back home! Drop me a line or stop on by. Fredericksburg is pretty cool, lots to see downtown if you're into the history thing. If not, there's usually beer in the fridge and we're always tossing something on the grill.
I rarely get on here, but if you really want to know what I've been up to for the past 20 years, look me up on facebook.
