Diane's Story
Life
I graduated from Port Huron Junior College with an Associates Degree in Science. After working for an ophthalmologist for 5 years, I returned to SCCCC and earned an Associates degree in Nursing. I became a Registered Health Information Technician in 1993 - which is a medical record degree. I retired in 2003 from Port Huron Hospital after working there for over 24 years and was the admitting nurse in the emergency room and the supervisor of the hospital on the afternoon...Expand for more
shift. My first husband, Bill Cameron, died of cancer in 1988. We have one son, age 33, who is a songwriter/musician, but is currently working as a bank teller. I married Phil Merriman in 1991 and now live in Port Sanilac, MI, where I am pursuing my passions of knitting, sewing, cooking, and computers. After 6 months of retirement, I now work part-time as the assistant manager of a manufactured home community. Wanted to do something totally different just for the fun of it!
