Diane 's Story

I uploaded the 1978 photo with me, Maureen (Rife) and Silvana (Milazzo) as my profile photo in honor of the HOOT we had at the 30th EHHS Reunion last night! Thank you to all who attended, signed my blank yearbook...and a special thanks to the Reunion Committee who worked so hard to pull off a wonderful event. The other photo is recent and there I am wearing Side-caps which I invented, patented, trademarked and for which I am seeking a licensing deal with a cap manufacturer, celebrity clothing line or licensing company in exchange for royalties. Man, have I gotten so close and since I have until 2018, I plan to keep trying. I was able to obtain a Utility Patent for the Side-cap which turned out to be a more fun, funky, sexy, sassy cap than the boxy, masculine hats that were out there. I want to stay young and healthy (without shin cancer or age spots). "Vanity" is the mother of invention? I am a retired Physical Therapist and Healthcare Administrator who is happily married. My husband and I spend most of our time in Florida. We own a 60 bed long and short term physical rehab facility in New London CT which has got one of the highest ratings in the country and run it like extended family. I like having fun and still can get pretty silly. I am theatrical, love to sing, dance, act, entertain, make people laugh, make myself laugh. God, do I feel blessed. ((I have siblings who graduated locally: East Haven Jeanne and Sharon (twins) 1978, and Debbie 1977, F...Expand for more
red from Notre Dame in West Haven 1976...all are doing well and reside in Durham CT, both parents are still alive and married over 50 years)) Also worth noting is that I share royalties with any person who can successfully help me get a licensing deal put together for the Side-cap...and I yes, I put things in writing. Being a "bs"-er was just not my style and still isn't. We have a dog, I love him...he is a rescue papillon named BO. We may get another one soon if we think they won't get each other barking more. The bark of a papillon is something else altogether. AHA, he second little rescue dog interview is set for Sept 29, 2009! I always wanted to be an actress when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good but profitless idea. As it turns out, they were probably correct. I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were smart when they suggested physical therapy for me. I was not good with needles or bloody body parts! I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out they were not shocked that I turned out to be an animated allied health professional who loved to teach through demonstration, engaging patients, family, other staff...having fun...by acting things out! Okay I also wanted to be an astronaut and a nun but those were from movies, Sally Field and the Apollo surge. Passing fads.
