Diane's Story

Life I love happily hanging out in Multnomah Village, the heavily hippy, artist, lesbian, and liberal populated area that we live in here in Portland, Oregon. I am totally enjoying the school mom role. I put together the newsletter and weekly e-blasts. Meredith will head to fourth grade next year. She loves school, and we love that it is only 8 - 2:15. Adam is finishing his kindergarten year. He only goes half-day, so I get some extra time with him a bit longer. We live in a 1954 daylight ranch house with a lovely, park-like yard. A favorite room is The Cheesball Lounge. It is the playroom/family room downstairs; complete with original vintage "Rob & Laura Petri" bar. We're working on something all the time. loors refinished. I'm trying to read a bit again and love my book group. Too bad I hate most chick flick type stories they choose. Who can read all this heart-breaking sad crap?! Mark(the hubby) loves his work at an environmental engineering firm. He takes the bus to work and back. It's another wonderful thing about living in Portland. I can't imagine the bus commute in Houston! We LOVE that there a 4 true seasons here, but the summers are to die for. We are outside from dawn to dark enjoying nature. Temps are perfect and there are no bugs to speak of! We recently added 2 Japanese Chins to our family. They are such fun. They are half brothers. One(Tanoshi)is the classic black & white. The other (Momo)is tan and white. I love this breed because they are basically cats in dog form. All in all, life is good.
