Diane's Story
After high school I went into the Marine Corps. I didn't serve long, I got married and my ex-husband was being transferred to Hawaii, and I couldn't get a transfer. Since I was pregnant at the time I had the option to get discharged, so I did.
We were married for 28 years and have three sons, and seven grandchildren.
After the kids went to school I went back to school myself and got an Associates Degree on the GI Bill. Then I went to work, mostly as a secretary/a...Expand for more
dministrative assistant/accounting assistant type...although I have also done Customer Service (which I don't recommend to anyone...it's boring and the customers don't really appreciate it)
I'm not working any more. I've just gone on disability because of arthritis and I'm moving into a Senior Citizen's building in Round Lake Beach. I'm planning on spending most of my time sewing and READING! (Ok, those of you who really remember me, when was I ever NOT reading?)
