Diane's Story

What has life been like since High School? Well it's been a definite rollercoaster. Some good and bad things have happened to me since High School but I have been really lucky because my best friend in the world is still my BFF from High School Megan Hamp (now Megan Collett). If it wasn¿t for the strong friendship that we developed in high school I don¿t know what I would have done without her these 6 years. I know some of you knew that my mom was sick and she died in October 2001 and so I finished my high school career at Meridian High School (but if strangers ask me where I went to school, I proudly tell them Meridian Charter High School). About a year after high school I moved to Las Vegas with a friend but of course that didn¿t work out. What was I thinking 18 years old moving to Vegas to do what clean houses? ight back around and moved to Utah. I lived there for a year and worked in childcare (loved it) but then my brother decided he wanted to get a transfer to Texas so I packed up again and moved back to Idaho. And this is where I call home. I don¿t work childcare anymore I have finally found what I want to do. I am a Commercial Plumbing Estimator for a Plumbing Contractor. I LOVE my job! It has taken me three years to get here and a hell of a lot of crap from the guys but I did it and it feels good. You know it's really funny because here I am almost 25 years old I have a great job great (single) life no kids yet and I would have never guessed. I am the one out of our group from high school that thought I would be married with kids and living that life at this point. Guess again! Everyone else is married with kids and I am not. I'm not bitter or upset about it. I like my life the way it is. I can come and go when I please. Marriage and kids will come someday I just have to find that one guy that¿s right for me.
