Diane's Story
Life
In the fall of 1970, I started at UC Irvine, also attended Syracuse University for one very cold semester in 1972, then I returned to Irvine and received my degree in history in 1974. After that, I moved to the San Fernando Valley, near extended family; was a real estate broker for a couple of years; and worked as a legal secretary (there were no paralegals in those days).
In 1977, I married Ken, and started law school (Southwestern). In 1980, I graduated and passed the bar. I was a business and real estate lawyer for a few years, during which time I had my two daughters, Hannah (1983) and Samantha (1987). The year I was pregnant with Samantha, I also opened my law practice, specializing in appeals. This year, I celebrate 30 years in private practice and three cases in the California Supreme Court...Expand for more

In my copious spare time, I like to travel, read, collect things from garage sales and thrift stores, do yoga, and take long walks. As a result of my efforts, I have a truly impressive collection of antique and vintage patchwork quilts and a home with a rather eclectic decor. LOL.
As for "those people" (e.g., my family), the girls are now grown; Hannah (26) is a high school math teacher. Samantha (22) graduated from Cal State Northridge last May and is returning in the fall to work on her master's degree and TA. Ken is still in the RE appraisal business, with my brother Peter.
"Now" picture is of me, my mom and Aunt Lil (my second mom),on her 80th birthday.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the 40th reunion. Plans are underway. (See Cathi (Mazmanian) Peterson's profile for more info)
