Diane's Story
It is time to update my story and some facts about me: June 2010
After high school, I attended Curry College and became a teacher. Although, I was in the teaching profession, my family of four children came first. I became a Stay-At -Home Mom, but I always worked a part-time job, either in retail or in a daycare setting. I also had my share of paper routes with my children as they were growing up.
My oldest is now 26 and my youngest will be 16. My three daughters are following in my footsteps and are teachers as well. Ok, so the youngest one is working on her dream! My oldest, a son, was in the Army National Guard for over eight years as well as being a Tiler. He is now a mechanic and always buying old vehicles to restore for himself, such as jeeps, trucks, and motorcycles. One daughter is still attending college while she helps out in a public school setting.
I have returned to work in the public school setting and I am also, and always was, interested in working with autistic children. I also own three dogs, two of which I rescued from a shelter. Last year, I spent much of my time designing and having my home remodeled. What a difference it has made!! From the bathroom, hallway, livingroom, and the kitchen- that was done a few years ago. Now, to complete the family room on the lower level as it was flooded from the March storms of this year.....2010.
I am also active in Venture Scouting along with my husband, who has been involved with Scouting since my son was in Cub Scouts, many, many moons ago!
I have re-connected with many friends and high school classmates thru Claasmates and FaceBook! I enjoy this new technology and the way of our future!
I was working in a school system, south of Needham, where I have lived for over 20 years. But, I recently left the system to care for a child one-on one. This is what I enjoy most and I ...Expand for more
hope that it will make a big difference in this child's life as he grows and develops with much support!!
I need to update my story so for now I will delete what was here and work on something new to post!!! May 2010
I am a mother of four. My oldest is 25 and he is a Tiler as well as a member of the Army National Guard. His unit fires the cannons on the 4TH of July in Boston.
My eldest daughter is a teacher as well as my third oldest. My youngest will be attending high school in the Fall...she too wants to be a teacher.

I am still working our livingroom and hallway. The stained doors, baseboard, doorframes, mantel etc. are slowly being installed. The room is all painted as is the ceiling. Each step is a major improvement!!! We will also have the wooden floors sanded. Last of all we are going to have a ceilingfan installed as we have a cathedral ceiling in our front to back split home.
My birthday is this weekend and I am hoping to get a new digital camera so that I can upload some pictures on here.

I have been out of work for almost a year and I recently got a position with my town's school system. I am thrilled and I have so much to share with the young children.
Most of the renovations for the livingroom and hallway are done. Just a few minor things left to do. When the temperature gets cooler, we will have the fan installed in the
livingroom and get a new front door.

After a year of being unemployed I finally was able to find a teaching position in our school system. I enjoy working with children and this position should be very rewarding for me. I am excited about the new program that I will be involved with at the elementary school level.
