Diane's Story
Not much has happened this year, but as I think about it some things that probably aren't so "whoop de doo" are exactly that to me. I have gotten in touch with some of my friends, so that is really nice. I don't have my yearbooks, they're packed away, so some people I would have to see them to remember, but I'm sure that goes the same for everyone. Isn't it amazing how much people change! I went to 3 different High Schools, Garey in Pomona, Millikan in Long Beach, & then Pacifica in Garden Grove. I must have a popular name because I get people writing to me about things before I was even born.
I've been to Utah a couple of times to see my daughter & her family. Actually I go there to see 2 of my grandsons, Furious & Red. My daughter calls me everyday to let me know how & what the boys are doing. I think when you have grandkids, your take on life changes, from when your kids were little. I wish so much that we lived closer to them. Furious is a Dennis the Menace & Red is definitly Pig Pen. The boy can get dirty in the bathtub. I have a grandaughter who just turned 5. I have 2 more grandsons from my youngest son & his wife. Of course, I think that all my grandkids are cuter than your's. I know that you think the same about your own ...Expand for more
grandkids. They are definitly a trip.
This year I found my youngest brother & my oldest brother & the most beautiful is that my mother who I haven't seen in 44 years called me. It trips me out on how much we are alike. So if I had to say what was the best thing that happened to me this year it would be my grandson being born & getting to know my mom & brothers.
So it's been a good year for me. Meeting & catching up with quite a few of my old friends through this site. Any of you that remember my sisters & my brother, Donna, Denise & Don, well they're all doing fine. We all ride our Harley's that's so relaxing & a natural high. My dad brought us up on motorcycles, & football. Of course we all have our own teams & it gets competitive. My dad, brother,& Donna's team are the Bears, mine Vikings & Denise' Greenbay. There's a lot of screaming & yelling when they play each other. My husband's team is the 49er's, but I think he's really a Vikings fan, undercover of course.
Well, I think that I have rambled on enough...so I will close & thank all of you who have written & remembered me. I do hope that all is going well in your life, & if you ever want to write, I will definitly write back, can't wait to hear from you! Your friend, ~Diane~
