Diane's Story

Life London has been my home for over 50 years. I am an author and have several published books. I attend church regularly at The Gathering Place and Revival Centre. I am part of the intercessory prayer ministry. . My mother passed away peacefully on March 19/09 at the age of 97 after living with me for almost 5 years. My life is very full and I never get bored. Sometimes I would like to try 'bored' for just a little while, but I know it's much better to be busy than idle. I do spend many hours in prayer most days. I have two blogs: diane-stephenson dot com and successbmine dot wordpress dot com. I spend as much time as I can reading. I love old books, and have purchased some of Louisa May Alcott's books, most very old copies. I have a penchant for collecting old volumes when I can find them at reasonable prices. Charles Dickens and Jane Austen are also favorites and I also collect movies of many of these books. I also love to read Christian books by authors such as John Bevere, Andrew Murray, Osw...Expand for more
ald Chambers, etc. And of course my Bible is my favorite, especially the New American Standard Version, and more recently, The Voice Reader's Bible.. Another hobby is taking pictures. I love my digital camera. For years I used a good 35mm camera and got some wonderful shots, but digital is certainly the way to go today. Since I started blogging, I have been posting many of my photos, so have to continually find new places to go to take more pictures. I follow many blogs and spend time commenting on them as well. I have met some wonderful people this way, most only online, but a few through actual conversations by phone. I also love to draw. I used to paint in acrylics and some watercolor, but now I stick mainly with pencil and colored pencils. Check my photo gallery to see a few of my drawings. I have been writing books for a number of years and have published 4 books to date plus a Study Guide for one of them and now, most recently, a coloring book for adults. Something different for a change rather than drawing--a soft sculpture doll I designed. I did a whole series of them, but I think this is the only one I have left.
A mechanical drawing of a center punch which I did during my graphic arts course back in the mid-60s. I don't think I would want to tackle anything like that now, though.
