Dianna's Story
What would you like to know?
For starters, I hope my old friends remember me as a quiet, conservative, young lady who was kind to everyone. That's probably not what they remember, but this is my story!
I always wanted to be a psychologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dumb idea because they thought I'd have to do 20 years of school. As it turns out, they were dumb for thinking I wouldn't make it, and it didn't take 20 years!.
I read, leisurely (when I have time). I love water, traveling, shopping and talking! However, when I need to relax, I meditate/and pray in complete solitude. I also love hanging out at the Vineyard (Oak Bluffs), so when my schedule permits, you'll find me there.
The wildest thing I ever did in school? I was too shy, although there was this "Sasha Fierce" alter ego present when I was a majorette. Her name is Adonis...and she did some wild and crazy things!!! And she's still alive!
The one person I'd like to see from the past is...all of my EAC friends. Deborah Gilbert, Julie Overstreet, Patty Johnson, Alfred Pollard and his cousin Deanna, memory fading...but you know what I mean. Wanda Allen, Betty Williams?, Deborah Washington.
I love The Game!!!
I own a dance studio, and I teach Zumba!
I thought I'd have 2-3 children, but to my surprise, I stopped at 1. She's 21 years old, is in mass communications and journalism (writer) and lives in New York. I also thought I'd be married to the same person forever. OOPS! That didn't happen!
My daughter has taught me many things, but the most important by far has been unconditional love and undying support.
If I could, I'd love to see Barbara Perry Starks again, because she believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. She taught me the power of voice and how to use it, the importance of stage presence, and how to always act like a lady. I'm forever grateful!

d in North Babington dorm on the campus of Nicholls State University. It sucked because I was such a hermit! I had friends and guests who came to stay in my room, and I still refused to go out. I wanted to get out and be popular, but was still in somewhat of a shell. The cafeteria food was decent...and I'm being polite, I worked in the library (workstdy). Ok, now I can confess...my supervisor was an older woman who didn't really pay attention to her workstudy students. Every week I changed the time on the clock to reflect an hour later than it really was. Although it started out as a joke with my coworkers, I kept doing it because it was such a riot.
Sorry :-(
To be truly happy, I'd be doing exactly what I'm doing now...but with my high school sweetheart.
My current age is 46. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
What happened to my first crush? I can't remember that far back.
My best friend would tell you I'm the biggest flirt you ever want to meet, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet and sweet. They don't have a clue!
Dress? I definitely don't dress like I did 10/20 years ago. However, I still keep it classy, depends on the occasion. I lost some weight after grad school, and from what I hear, I'm still pretty hot!!
What about me would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? I'm a pastor and have been in ministry for over 20 years.
We lived on Cadillac Street in the 7th ward and on Saturday mornings, my dad would take us to McKenzies on St. Bernard Ave. for donuts and chocolate milk. My youngest brother was asleep one morning, so we decided to leave him in his bed. BIG MISTAKE! When we arrived home, we discovered that he started walking, looking for us. He ended up at Phillip Elementary school (on the corner). What a lesson I learned!
All in all, I'm still a ham.
