Dianne's Story
Life has been very different outside of those Highlander halls! I can't deny EHHS had an impact on me 'though, both positive and negative. All our experiences help to shape our lives in some way, yes? I do miss many of you and wish I could make it back to another reunion. 'Now living in a rural area outside of Findlay, Ohio. YES IT IS TOO COLD HERE in the winter, but the midwestern lifestyle and people are very warm and down-to-earth. My 2 youngest children are now 17 and 19 and have florished in this atmosphere. There has been much emphasis placed on musical talents...of which they are both blessed, academic strengths, strong spiritual character, and valuable organizations such as 4-H which have been character builders as well. My 19 year old, Emily is in her freshman year of college and Sean, my son is in his junior year of high school. I can't tell you Emily's major because it has changed 3 times in 2 semesters!
My husband Ron and I moved here for him to complete his Master's in occupational therapy at Findlay University. here the clip-clop of Amish horse and buggies can be heard daily. I am a speech patholgist, with a passion for treating patients with dysphagia (swallowing disorders). We dream of one day being a traveling team and retiring in Washington state or Oregon. We fell in love with the misty northwest during a 3 year stay 10 years ago. Ron and I have a child each from former marriages. He has a daughter Shelly , who lives in Kansas, and I a son Holland, who lives in Atlanta. We have 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. I still stay busy going to Sean's activities: showchoir; soccer; and horse events. I am , however beginning to allow myself some personal time. I'm reading more, involved in church events, ballroom dancing, traveling alone or with Ron. I have several dear friends in my community that share interests, and I enjoy being an advisor in our children's horse club, "Freedom Reins."
I plan to add pictures to this site soon...please be patient 'cause places where pictures are stored can change in this ever-changing home! I look forward to sharing those with you and hearing from old friends. That includes EHHS, Texas Wesleyan, Texas Woman's University, or any of the 7 elementary schools I attended!
