Dianne's Story
Life
I am the mother of 3, two girls and a boy, as well as the grandmother of 4, two girl and two boys. We have a 15 year old cat named Kismet, two more younger cats, and a Rat Terrier. All my children are bilingual and are fluent in German as well as in English.
I have opted to go back to school to further my education beyoung my associate's degree and am presently going for my bachelor's in health service administration with two certificates: one in HR management and the other in Organizational Leadership Management. I am an instructor at Kaplan College in the medical office specialist diploma program. No one ever thought that I would become a teacher, uh?
Long after school I found out that I am ambitious and able to do anything. I really enjoy life and have good friends. Oh yes, I did go back to Milwaukee 30 years ago and have stayed here. Life is good and I hope it is so for everyone else. I plan to make it to the next class reunion--our 35th--whow!
School

College
I found college easy but I did want to learn and so absorbed like a sponge. Others felt that I was getting off too easy. I barely studied my notes and if someone was out they made sure to get my notes as it was just like being there. I quickly figured out that everything was said three times in different ways so I was able to keep up with my note taking. I didn't know shorthand so I am glad that I figured that one out.
Workplace
I worked in the Administrative field until after I graduated Stratton. For 12 years I worked as a medical assisting, 9 1/2 years in the same practice-pediatrics, but left when I realized I could make more money in jobs that did not require a degree. I am presently working for Select Comfort in one of their retail stores and am happy with the job and the income. They make the sleep number bed which is the best one anyone could ever have! (Personal testimony-:))
Military
Never did decide to enter our glorious military.
