Dino's Story
I joined the Air Force with Ken Martin, right after high school. I spent a year in Weather School and was stationed in West Texas. I got out and became an apprentice carpenter, which payed twice as much as the job National Weather Service offered me. Became foreman and eventually job site superintendent. I did this for 31 years. During that time I went back to school and earned a BA in History at CSUF and a teaching credential. I became a long term substitute in the Santa Ana School district. ever achieved the level of satisfaction or accomplishment that I did in Construction. Public schools are very broken.
Got married in 1979 and was married 28 years. on Sept13, 2006,my wife was attacked by my neighbors dogs in our front yard and nearly killed. It took 8 months for her body to heal, but she never got over the mental trauma. I met a a wonderful lady at church and we were married in 2010. We are active in our church, travel and I still play guitar, but being grandpa is my favorite gig. During Covid I built a guitar that I play everyday.
