Dolores's Story
Hi Classmates: Here is my story. I was born in Philadelphia, PA 10-22-40. I have three sisters and one brother.
We lived in the part of Philadelphia called Richmond. I went to Our Lady Help of Christian grammar school and graduated in 1954. That same year, we moved to Northeast Philadelphia to a section call Lawndale. There, I went to Saint Hubert Catholic HS and graduated in 1958.
After graduation from 1958 to 1969, I worked as a secretary for several different companies: a box company, an insurance company, and a plastics company. During that time I traveled quite a bit: Florida, Hawaii, Aruba, South America, Virgin Islands, Caribbean Island, Canada, Mexico and I spent a month in Europe.

hat semester I moved to California and got a job with Mobil Oil Co. I continued my college education working during the day and going to school at night. It took me ten years, but I did it!! I graduated California State University Long Beach in June 1980 with a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. I left Mobil and started working for TRW, as a Business Manager on their Space Programs. I was very fortunately to work on the Shuttle Discovery in 1989. I spent three months in Coco Beach, FL, until the Launch.
I did marry. I met my husband in 1977 at a wine tasting and we married a year later in 1978. I have two stepchildren and one step grandson.
My husband and I retired in 1996 and in 2003 moved to a 55 and over active adult community in Arizona. And, we are still traveling and enjoying our retirement.
I'm also a photographer.
