Dominique's Story
Dominique was born in Goose Bay, Labrador to French Canadian parents. She is married.
She attended Canada's National Ballet School (1970-75), Champlain College St. Lawrence and again NBS to study in the Teachers Training Program (1978-79).
After one year in the TTP, she was invited to join the artistic staff of Canada's National Ballet School (79 to 83). Relocating to Quebec City in the summer of 1983 to marry, Dominique taught at the Centre de danse de Quebec before becoming pedagogical, artistic and administrative director of L'Ecole de danse de Quebec...Expand for more
, one of the province's three professional dance training institutions (1985-2009).
Following a two-year sailing sabbatical (09-11) she happily returned to teaching on a freelance basis.
Dominique loves to read and has a very eclectic taste in music, spanning all epochs and genres.
As well as being "first mate" to her sailor husband of some thirty-five years, she enjoys tennis, trekking, roller blading, cross-country skiing, yoga, and more!
