Don's Story
I have followed this site off an on for a few years. I saw the last pictures and felt a little nostalgic. I said I would hook up with everyone back in 99 but surprise baby boy on top of a divorce put the brakes on retirement and everything. (I retired one time in 82 and moved back to St. Louis! Left again in 84 to marry one of many.
Since leaving FPPCC I worked briefly as an Executive Chef in the capital. Then I went back for undergrad and graduate school at FIU-Miami. Doing this time I moved mountains, they were unprepared for an aggressive "StL person". After grad graduation i jumped ship and went to corporate offices of Victoria Station in San Fran.. I worked as a Trouble shooter traveling around the country and later Permanent in Chi town. Where I later had my own Restaurant with a partner. During this time I traveled to Europe(Paris) and to Africa2x. Senegal and Gabon.
We sold the restaurant I took the money came back to STL and my partner took the equipment and went to New York to start a new rest..
In STL construction on my rental property went from 6 wks to 6 mos.. Needless to say I went back to work cooking! I was scheduled to marry but it didn't workout. I did get a wonderful daugther out of it. During this time I took on apprentices and I fast tracked back to the Opening Che...Expand for more
f for Patrick's Chesterfield.
After this I decided I wanted the warm life and moved back to Miami.
I then left a local hospital as Asst. Dir. I opened a specialty fencing business. Blew it up to offices in LA and MIA. I did a lot of traveling but loved every moment of it. I had some darkness in that I divorced. I refused everything and went to work in the hospice healthcare field. It has allowed me to raise and groom my son to someday be a solid productive citizen. (Much Better than his dad)
I have had multiple other business concerns during this later time. (inventing holistic products, manufacture of hydrogen generators).
My most recent is I have written an excellent book of surviving and beating cancer with out physical, mental and financial devastation. You don't have to die, least not from cancer!
"How I Would Beat Cancer Now! My Plan by Don B. Well"
I am also the manager for a Christian Rock Singer "Lady Grace".
I must say that I'm glad to see some of the "old" faces.
I going to try and make Las Vegas. I need a couple weeks to plan.
I close with my favorite saying.
"May you enrich the lives of others and make yourself happy. Remembering, In order to prosper, one must contribute to prosperity. It may not come from those you serve, but it will come!"
