Don's Story
Life
WOW!!!!! What a ride this life has been. Many wonderful and a few not so wonderful events have happened in my life. All have been learning experiences and have really given me a super perspective on life. I feel at least one good belly laugh a day is a requirement to good health. My learning experiences have given me a great tolerance for the perceived shortcomings of other. I truly have been blessed through the years. And boy, do the years seem to be flying by. Surely does not seem like it has been 34 years since graduation. I married my first wife in 1978 fresh out of the Army. This lasted ten years and I had my wonderful two children during this time. ns on being a history teacher. They definitely have more patience than I have to teach in todays schools. Man, I though we were ornery!! I was single for five years and got remarried. That lasted a whole 2 1/2 years. I learned the single life was for me after that one. I have worked as a social services department supervisor for the last five years at Grace Hospice in Tulsa. It is a job I love and one I believe is my calling. I also do construction work on the side and have for years. I live just off I75 in Beggs, so I really haven't moved far at all. I still enjoy the night life though not as often lol. Takes too long to recuperate. I have 5 acres and I love it out there. Hope to hear from some of the old friends. Can you believe 35 years is coming up!!
