Don's Story
Don's schools include Pasadena Academy. He later attended Pasadena City College. Was a radio announcer for KBBI (Biola College) in Los Angeles. Spent two years as a Rodeo Clown before being drafted into the US Army in Jan 1966. Became a Special Forces Officer then on to Flight School and next to Viet Nam for 2 years, first as a Cobra (gun ship) pilot, then as personal pilot for the Deputy Commander of troops. high level military officers until March of 1971 when I left the Army. ( I remained in the National Guard as a pilot and was sent to Grenada, Panama and Desert Storm). In 1974 I began flying as an Airline Pilot for Aspen Airways then Frontier and Pan An World Airways then UPS. I taught flying in airplanes,helicopters, gliders and blimps until 2006. I now reside near Portland, Oregon and keep busy reading, hiking, playing raquitt ball, riding a mountain bike, and skiing.
