Don's Story
I attended the Fulton HS Reunion, this year, 2013, hosted by Linda (Clayton) Wunderly and Wayne Russel for the 8th year. There was a good attendance, except I was the only member of the 1964 class present. I have found out during the last year, that Eddie Clendenning died several years ago--but I had been unaware of it. Ed's nephew is dating my youngest sister, and he informed me that Eddie had died, as had all of Ed's older brothers. His older sister Rosemary Clendenning just died in the past 6 months and only one sister is still living, Elnora.
Back to the HS Reunion. This year is the last year for the Reunion. NO one stepped up to be in charge of it for 2014, and that is sad. I think that the few of the class of 1964 and perhaps add in the class of 1965 or 1963 and we could just plan on a time to meet ...Expand for more
in the LUNCH ROOM at Fulton. If it is only the class of '64, and everyone was able to attend with a spouse of significant other, there would be only about 20 of us to attend. Steve Frisbie, you and I could make plans for this gathering if you would be willing to assist me. It would not have to be on Memorial Weekend, which I have always thought was conflicting with many persons, especially ministers like me who could not travel for Sat night and then return on Sunday to my home. Since I now live in Fort Scott and am semi-retired, (still preaching at Mapleton United Methodist Church)
I have extra time to plan some things.
Let me know what your thoughts may be on this issue and perhaps we can start making some plans for next year, and a chance to see one another from class of 1964 on our 50th year reunion.
