Don's Story
Let's see... I left Modesto in 1980 for boot camp with the US Army in Missouri. I got married to Renee Perry in 1981 and we moved to Hawaii. I spent the next five years crawling through wet and dirty fields all over the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. I got up close and personal with the soil content of places like The Phillipines, Samoa, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Alaska, Ft. Erwin, CA. and a whole lot of smaller places for very brief moments in time.
In 1985, I moved to Louisiana. I spent a year there and when I exited Uncle Sam's Army, I returned to Modesto in October 1985. I divorced from Renee in January 1986. rly every single day together since that moment.
We moved to Alaska in 1992 and absolutely loved it there! The economic climate created by the environmentalists forced us to leave Alaska and go where I could find work in my field, repairing electric motors. We moved from Alaska to Visalia, CA. in 2005. By 2006, we were living in Tucson, AZ and I was starting yet another job with another new company.
In 2008, I had to get us out of the oppressive desert heat of Arizona so I went in search of a new job. This would be the fourth new job in three years after having spent the last twenty years at only two, one of which had me for thirteen years. I landed my current job in Paramount, CA, the Los Angeles area, and have been here since.
That brings us to today!
