Life I have been married to Mollie Hammond Harrison since Christmas, 1966. We have two grown children but no grandchildren. We live on a remote 214 acre lake where fishing and swimming are excellent. School My favorite teachers at Eau Claire were Madeline Knight (Junior English), Ted Compton's aunt. She taught me to love poetry; also Jack Howell, the advanced math teacher who made Engineering math at USC not just easy but fun. Military I entered the Air Force through ROTC and was a missile launch officer, code courier and instructor for the alternate command post (a place set up to take over during nuclear war, if necessary). After active duty I served as a member of the committee to meet the requirements of the Mutual Defense Act of 1958 (with Great Britain) to share appropriate nuclear information between countries.
