Don's Story
Life
Joined the Marines in 1986, went Infantry. Served for 10 years. Combat veteran from Iran in 1988, Panama in 1989, Honduras in 1990, Desert Shield/Storm 1990-91.
Finished my career in the Marines as the NCO in charge of the security force at the White House Communications Agency. Discharged honorably and became a Deputy Sheriff in Alexandria, Va. Served as a Deputy Sherrif for 5 1/2 years, then dedicated myself to being a full time stude...Expand for more
nt pursuing a degree in criminal justice/management.
Joined the National Guard in August 2001 to get education benifits and play in the dirt and mud 1 weekend a month. Recalled to active duty after Sept 11th and have been serving on Active Duty ever since. I am currently a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan and spend a lot of time in the Mid-east and Africa.
Still pursuing my degree as time allows, and am trying to become a Warrant Officer.
