Rocky's Story
Life
After High School I joined the US Army, completed traing and was injured in line of duty and received a medical honorable discharge. Except for some years working for Litton's, Fairchild and IBM during the 60's I have been a full-time pianist with various rock and country bands, including Tommy Overstreet's band, The Ozark Country Express, The OMI Express and the JJ Cale Band. The Cale Band has taken me all over the US, Canada and Europe, including Carnegie Hall in 1996. Some of the songs from these concerts are included in the "JJ Cale Live" CD, released in June of 2001. The new album is "To Tulsa and Back" CD released in June of 2004. I also am on the "Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival" DVD set, playing with JJ Cale, with Eri...Expand for more
c sitting in on guitar. I also do some film acting, as reflected on the Internet Movie DataBase. In 2005, I was elected to the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. I was inducted into the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame in 2008 and into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009.

I'm also a private pilot; I write articles and novels and I collect, build and modify small English cars, specializing in MG's and Mini Coopers. I'm an unrepentant anglophile and I visit the UK for a month or two every year, staying with various friends there.
I am also a political gadfly, a strong libertarian, and have run for Tulsa City Council twice and Mayor once.
