Don's Story

Hi! I've been living on Fox Island since 1980 and love the peaceful "country life" here with lots of wonderful friends and great neighbors. My career with the City of Tacoma Public Works Dept. is interesting and fufilling - I love what I do and the people I work with. Last October I attended a water conference in San Diego and then vacationed with family living in the area. We took a few days off and sailed my cousin's boat over to Catalina Island for "Cruiser's Weekend". The Bowron Lake Chain in central...Expand for more
B.C. is my favorite canoe / adventure trip. I've been around the 85 mile circuit 5 times with my kids and we're looking forward to spending time together on the "Bowron" in the future. Bicycling is my passion and I can't get enough of it. The back roads of Fox Island are a good place to ride and stay in shape. Last year I joined the Capital Bicycling Club in Olympia and racked up nearly 1,800 miles before the fall rains returned. I'm looking forward to new adventures and making new friends. Life is good.
