Don's Story
Life
Hello to all, I have lived in the U.P. of Michigan since 1993. I am a part time medical technologist in a medical clinic with my wife Debbie, a family doctor at the clinic. We met in 1986 while we were students at MSU and married in 1988. She is originally from here. I have 3 daughters Kaitlyn born in 1993, Darcy in 1997 and Taylor in 2000. My main job is taking care of my girls. I actually go to work to make life easier for me as anyone who takes care of children knows, they drive you nuts! I love them all dearly and truely love what I do, BUT WOW, a lot of work they are! A whole houseful of women, yeah, right, whatever. Still play my drums and love to hunt and fish when I get the chance and enjoy travel around the USA. Don't ever see anyone from high school up here and miss GR but really love it up here. We have a 1000 acre hunting camp and I look forward to the fall as we have lots of animals to shoot. I don't shoot many, I just hit them with my vehicle. My home, between the cities Gladstone and Escanaba, overlooks Little Bay Denoc, a small bay on Lake Michigan. It is mostly frozen as we have long winters, but do enjoy being by the lake. School
Graduated NHS in 1982, took a break for a year, then went to GRJC for 2 years. After there my schooling continued at MSU GO GREEN GO WHITE. Here I met my wife Debbie and so goes the story. Graduated in 1990 and began my life as a Medical Technologist.
College
College for me started at Grand Rapids Junior College and although I did enjoy my time there, college life did not really begin for me until --- Michigan State University, I had a complete BLAST. I grew up in East Lansing between 1985 and 1990. Experienced MUCH and learned a TON about life, love and happiness. Those leason's still benefit me today.
Workplace
I work in a clinic about 60 miles south of Marquette, Mi. This clinic is near my home. I live in Gladstone, Mi but I work in Escanaba, Mi. I work in the Clinic Laboratory at MMC-Esc. My wife is a physician in one of the many Dr's office's we serve. Learned my craft at MSU where I met my wife. Since 1986 we have been together and since graduating we have been working in our chosen profession's.
