Don's Story
After graduation, I attended the University of Akron and received a BS in Civil Engineering. However, during college, I did my internship with a construction company and fell in love with that job prospect. I ended up mixing the two and have had a long career in construction, construction management and have been able to utilize my education in quite a few circumstances. After more than 26 years, there is nowhere I can't look or turn in Summit or Stark County to see a building or structure I've had a part in; and I've also worked on a few projects in Medina and Portage Counties too. While I've stayed local (although it wasn't my original goal), I'm terribly proud of what I've done for these communities - schools, offices, medical centers, and hospital work have been much of my work; I even worked at the old Taylor Library TWICE in my career. e of my life for over 27 years, have four children, all grown and either out of college with careers or finishing college. I have two grand-children as well, and even after just turning 50, keep me busy and on my toes!! Generally, I've created a rather relaxed lifestyle; I like to stay around home, just being part of my family, working around the house, and keeping it low-key. We like to vacation in Florida nearly every year, but that's about it And while the world has changed a LOT since 1990, I like to think that everyday living can still be simple and enjoyable (as long as you can cut through the crap).
So that's about it. Maybe I will share more at a later time, but hope you enjoyed finding out a little about me and what's been going on after that last 32 years. In many ways, it's been so long, and at the same time has passed in the "blink of an eye". Take care and be happy!
