Don's Story
I left Beaverlodge in 1970 for Edmonton. I met and married my wife, Nettie there in 1973 and we moved to Prince George, BC in 1974. We lived and worked there until 1988. Our sons Kelly and Chris were born there in 1977 and '79. I served 2 terms as alderman on Prince George city council from 1976 til 1980. fe retired in May of 2007 and I packed it in in February of 2008. We have been to Mexico 4 times, the latest being for the month of February 2008. We will be going back in 2009. The picture is me with my feet up on the balcony of our hotel in Meleque, MX. It is about 8:00 and not hot yet, hence the jacket. The coffee contains Baileys. Hence the smile. We live in a cottage on a lake just west of Qualicum. I do not miss work.
