Don's Story
Hello from the Land of Enchantment. That's New Mexico, home of dry desert air, hot air balloons, and the world's best chile. Yes, New Mexico is part of the United States; strange as it may seem, some people don't know that.
Since 1954 I have had a wonderful existence. I lived in Columbia (at Mizzou) for 4 years, 6-1/2 years in southern Nevada, 30 years in Los Alamos, NM, and the last 13 years in Rio Rancho, NM.
I married Helen L. Bond of Marshall, MO, in 1961; we celebrated our 47th anniversary in January 2008. Helen is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Both Helen and I are happily retired. We have one son, Marcus, who lives in Tucson. He is an accomplished musician, graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music (part of Case Western Reserve University). He is currently employed by Trader Joe's and writes musical scores for childrens movies on DVDs.

ring Co of Kansas City and 36-1/2 years for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (part of the University of California). I had the opportunity to work on about 12 major research & development projects. I was able to serve in various capacities from project manager to epidemiologist.
Current hobbies for me include singing barber shop harmony, genealogy, and surfing the net. Helen's fortes are gourmet cooking and bridge. Together, we love to travel. So far, we have visited 44 of the 50 US states, 8 of the Canadian Provinces, 1 Canadian Territory, and 30 foreign countries. We intend to see more.
In March 2008 I was honored to receive the "Missouri Award for Distinguished Service in Engineering" from the University of Missouri. Was I surprised? You bet.
We welcome your communications. Live and be happy because "This life is not a drill."
