Donald's Story
After graduating from high school, I began working at the Royal Bank in the community of Bruno a little east of Humboldt. . Being subject to transfers I became a bit of a nomad moving to three more places in Saskatchewan, then to The Pas & then Thompson, Manitoba where I met my wife to be in 1977. As a married couple we were then transferred to Dryden, Ontario where our two daughters were born and from there to Nipigon, Ontario which is on Lake Superior about an hour north of Thunder Bay. I left the Royal Bank at Nipigon in 1986 and subsequently moved to Prince Albert where I worked as a Credit Manager at the Prince Alberta Co-op for a few years. Treasury Branches (ATB) starting in Vegreville, until transferring to Grimshaw (Peace Country) and then transferring to Edmonton where we bought a home in the neighboring community of Sherwood Park. I remained with ATB until 2003. Worked for Business Development Bank just short of 2 years and in2005 I accepted a position with Servus Credit Union until I recently retired at the end of October, 2020. It has been quite a journey for us with a few bumps along the way, over the years we have met many people and it has been a blast. We have two daughters, two son-in-laws and twin grand daughters whom are now 14. My interests are golfing, curling, cross country skiing, biking and generally being with friends and family..
