Donald's Story
Looking back it's been quite a trip from Derby High School to retirement from Sirius Computer Solutions in Dec. 2014.
Attended Southern Connection State College and returned to DHS to teach Math after graduation. In 1977 I had the opportunity to take a corporate education role at Digital Equipment Corporation in New York City. That led to jobs at Wang Laboratories (and a move to Boston), Lotus/IBM (Boston and San Francisco) and finally Sirius Computer Solutions and a final move to Hillsboro, OR, just west of Portland. obs presented the opportunity to travel the US and the world. I have been to England, Germany, France, Austria, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Columbia, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.
2013 was a monumental year for me and my life partner Bob (of 30 years). We were finally able to marry. As we said on Nov 26, 2013 when we married - "Long engagements can indeed work" All this business travel also provided airline miles for 3 vacations to Australia and multiple vacation trips throughout the US.for Bob and myself.
