Donald E's Story
Life, I am what I am.
My Wife, Suzanne, and I will be celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary on November 17th. To be honest, time has traveled by to fast since that day 57 years ago. After 39 years with the Vista School District she has finally retired.
For our 50th wedding anniversary, we traveled to London for a short visit.
Travel plans for this year are to be back in Colorado and Kansas while I do some ancestral research. Also to travel to Canada. Still haven't made it to Canada, to many health problems last year.
Most of our life still revolves around our 6 Children and 5 Grandchildren and friends. After 30 years in the Marine Corps and 12 years with the Vista Unified School District as an accountant I retired back in June 1990.
Our 23 year old Granddaughter, Sarah, has graduated from University of Oregon. We are excited for her. She participated in 2 Rose Bowl Parade, 2 Rose Bowls and also in a BCS Bowl. She was recently interview for a position at Washington State. Her major was in Environmental Studies with a Minor in Geology. Sarah also participated in the 2005 Youth Friendship Games in Holland, under the People to People Ambassador Program established...Expand for more

We have a new College Graduate. Our 24 year old Granddaughter, Leslie, graduated from University California at San Diego with a degree in Science. She now has found work in a good paying job.
My children, including my five Grandchildren are the most wonderful event in my life. All of my children live within a 10 mile radius of our home, and we have many events where we are all together at least once a month.
Our Granddaughter, Katelyn, plays the Saxophone and piano. She visited China two years ago with her high school band and is now at the present time studying to be a youth pastor.It is fun watching them grow into young responsible ladies.
Our Granddaughter, Arwin, is now a Senior at University of Santa Rosa.
I'm still working on getting myself a new dog. Still trying to decide if I should get one or not. My old girl has been gone three years now. Just haven't found the right connections yet in getting a new dog.
