After NRHS I attended Northern Michigan University for one year. Transferred to the University of Bridgeport in 1966 and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1970. While there married Ilona Van Hanen and my daughter Cathy was born. Sept 1970 moved to Charleston SC and began working for the Navy at Southern Division Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC builds, maintains, and demolishes naval shore facilities in support of the Fleet) and retired in 2003. During the last 14 years of my professional career I was a Design and Construction Project Manager working on shore facilities from Key West Florida to Great Lakes Illinois.
